Mr. CHHOY Bunnak
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. CHHOY Bunnak joined Mega Leasing Plc. in October 2016 as Head of Operation Department and on August 30, 2019, he was appointed as CEO until now. Prior to joining the company, Mr. Chhoy Bunnak has expertise in sales in retail companies and in microfinance sector with the positions from Credit Officer, Chief Credit Officer, Branch Manager, Regional Operation Manager, Chief of Operation Officer bringing his more than 20 years in microfinance sector.
Mr. Chhoy Bunnak graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management from Marharishi Vedic University in 2002, Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance from Build Bright University in 2010, and completed studying Strategy Execution from Harvard Business School, which was a US program in 2021. In addition, he has participated in national and international workshops and has joined domestic and international training courses.
Mr. HORT Sovuthy
Head of Finance Department
Mr. HORT Sovuthy started working at Mega Leasing Plc. as the Deputy Head of Finance Department in April 2014 until 2016; in 2016, he was promoted to be the Head of Finance Department until now. Mr. Hort Sovuthy has more than six years of experience working in microfinance sector, especially, related to finance and credit. Before he was appointed as Accounting and Finance Manager in May 2010, he used to work at IPR as an accountant since late 2007. After that, Mr. Sovuthy was given the position of Credit Manager in February 2012.
Mr. Hort Sovuthy graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance from Cambodian Mekong University of Cambodia in 2009 and he successfully passed Tax Service Agency course organized by the General Department of Taxation in July 2014. Furthermore, Mr. Hort Sovuthy also participated in other training courses related to Finance and Tax Management for banking and microfinance sector. In addition to that, he also attended several national and international workshops.
Ms. CHHEANG Rotha
Head of Human Resource and Administration Department
Ms. CHHEANG Rotha joined Mega Leasing Plc. in July 2018 as Head of Human Resource and Administration Department. She has nearly 20 years of experince in adminsitration, finance and human resource in the fields of construction and engineering and microfinance.
Ms. Chheang Rotha graduated with a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Limkokwing University (based in Malaysia), a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Preston University (USA) and diploma of Business Management from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Australia). Additionally, she has participanted in workshops and undergoned several training courses in Cambodia.
Mr. KHEN Kosal
Head of Internal Audit Department
Mr. KHEN Kosal started working at Mega Leasing Plc. as Head of Internal Audit Department in 2022. He has more than 12 years of experience in Banking and Finance sector, including working in internal audit at Hattha Bank for approximately 11 years and as an external auditor at Angkor Certified Accountant for a year before coming to Mega Leasing Plc.
Mr. Khen Kosal graduated two Bachelor’s Degrees, one in Accounting and Finance from Preak Kossomak Polytechnic Institute in 2009 and another one in English Literature from Cambodian Mekong University in 2009 as well. Also, in 2012, he finished his Master’s Degree in Finance at National University of Management. Moreover, Mr. Khen Kosal participanted in workshops and undergone serveral local and international training courses.
Mr. SO Bunneth
Deputy Head of Operation Department
Mr. SO Bunneth started working at Mega Leasing Plc. in July 2017 as a Branch Manager, Regional Manager, and was promoted to Deputy Head of Operation Department in 2021. Prior joining with Mega Leasing Plc., he had been working in the microfinance sector as a Credit Officer, Loan Recovery Officer, Chief of Credit Officer, Branch Manager, and Regional Manager at the VisionFund Microfinance Institution for 9 years from 2008 to 2017, which nowadays known as Woori Bank. In addition, he used to be a teacher for 9 years at Kraya Secondary School.
Mr. So Bunneth graduated with a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Angkor Institution. In addition, he also attended workshops and took part in a lot of training courses in Cambodia.
Mr. CHENG Samat
Head of Business Development Department
Mr. CHENG Samat began working at Mega Leasing Plc. in March 2018 as a Sales and Marketing Officer, a Senior Sales and Customer Relations Officer, and he was promoted as the Manager of Business Development Unit in 2020.
Mr. Cheng Samat is currently primarily in charge of product development and marketing. He brought with him more than 11 years of expertise in the humanitarian work, logistics and small and medium enterprises. Mr. Cheng Samat worked in Cambodia and Laos before joining Mega Leasing Plc. He had a variety of positions, including Human Resource Officer, Accounting Officer, Senior Accountant, Logistic Officer and the Manager of Administration.
Mr. Cheng Samat graduated with a Bachelor of Business Management from Build Bright University in 2008. Before graduation, he received a scholarship in Human Resource Management from Maharishi Vedic University from 2004 to 2007. Furthermore, Mr. Cheng Samat had joined many workshops and had been in various local and international training courses. According to his commitment with high competency and understanding on financial lease management, Mega Leasing Plc. has appointed Mr. Cheng Samat as Head of Business Development Department from February 2023.
Mr. KUY Bunkong
Manager of Risk and Compliance Unit
Mr. KUY Bunkong joined Mega Leasing Plc. as Manager of Risk and Compliance Unit in 2022. He has more than 8 years of experience in risk and compliance, internal audit and internal control. Before working in this position, he used to work as Senior Internal Auditor and Internal Auditor Manager.
Mr. Kuy Bunkong graduated with two Bachelor’s Degrees, one is Bachelor of Business Management in 2014 from Cambodian Mekong University and Bachelor of English in Professional Communication in 2016 from Institute of Foreign Languages. Currently, he is pursuing Association Charter Certified Accountant (ACCA) at Cam-Ed Business School and other training course on Internal Control, Risk and Compliance.
Mr. VANDETH Sopanha
Manager of Information Technology Unit
Mr. VANDETH Sopanha started working with Mega Leasing Plc. in mid-2015 as a Senior Information Technology Officer, responsible for Application Development and Core Banking System; in 2017, Mr. Panha was promoted as Manager of Information Technology Unit. Prior to join Mega Leasing Plc. Mr. Panha has experience in Information Technology for more than 5 years. He used to work in Metfone Company as Computer Support Staff and was promoted to Billing System Support Staff. After that, Mr. Sopanha worked at AMK Microfinance Institution, where he was in charge of application development and reporting for the core banking system.
Mr. Sopanha graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology at Norton University in 2008.
