Mr. CHHOY Bunnak
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. CHHOY Bunnak joined Mega Leasing Plc. in October 2016 as Chief Operating Officer and on 27 April 2018, Mr. Chhay Bunnak was appointed as the Acting Chief Executive Officer and at On August 30, 2019, he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer until now. Prior to join the company, Mr. CHHOY Bunnak had worked in a number of microfinance institutions and brought with him more than 16 years of experience in the microfinance sector.
Before holding the key position at Mega Leasing Plc., Mr. CHHOY Bunnak had worked in various positions from Credit Officer, Chief Credit Officer, Branch Manager and Chief Operating Officer from 2005 to 2016. Based on the work experience combined with the theory, Mr. CHHOY Bunnak always makes decisions and achieve the expected results. At the same time, Mr. CHHOY Bunnak has the skills in operational management and personnel management. Mr. CHHOY Bunnak graduated Master Degree in Banking and Finance from Build Bright University in 2010 and a Bachelor Degree in Marketing Management from Marharishi Vedic University in 2002. In addition, he has participated in domestic and international workshops and has undergone many local and international training courses.
Mr. HORT Sovuthy
Head of Finance Department
Mr. HORT Sovuthy joined Mega Leasing Plc. as the Deputy Head of Finance Department from April 2014 to 2016. He was promoted to be the Head of Finance Department until now. Mr. HORT Sovuthy brought with more than 6 years of working experience in the microfinance sector, especially related to finance and credit. Mr. HORT Sovuthy had worked at IPR Microfinance Institution as an Accountant since late 2007 before being appointed as Manager of Accountant and Finance Unit in May 2010. Then, in February 2012, Mr. Sovuthy was appointed as the Credit Unit Manager before moving to Mega Leasing Plc. In April 2014.
Mr. Sovuthy graduated Bachelor Degree in Banking and Finance from Mekong University of Cambodia in 2009. In July 2014, he passed the final exam of the Tax Service Agency course organized by the General Department of Taxation. In addition, Mr. HORT Sovuthy has also attended many training courses related to finance and tax management for the banking and microfinance institutions. He is currently studying for the ACCA program at Cam-Ed Business School.
Ms. CHHEANG Rotha
Head of Human Resource and Administration Department
Ms. CHHEANG Rotha joined Mega Leasing Plc. In July 2018 as Head of Human Resources and Administration Department. She brought with nearly 20 years work experience in Mega Leasing Plc. She is currently responsible for human resources management, administration and procurement. Prior to join Mega Leasing Plc., She had undergone a series of work movement, from the position of Secretary to the position of Head of Human Resources and Administration Department which services to around 200 employees.
Ms. CHHEANG Rotha holds a Master degree in Human Resource Management from Lim Kok Wing University, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Preston University and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Royal Melbourne University. In addition, she had attended workshops and gone through many training courses in Cambodia.
Mr. PEOU Monor
Head of Internal Audit Department
Mr. PEOU Monor joined Mega Leasing Plc. as Head of Internal Audit Department in July 2018. Prior to join Mega Leasing Plc., he had more than 10 years of working experience in internal auditing in financial institutions, with the role of Manager of Internal Audit Unit at WB Finance and Chamroeun Microfinance Institution and senior internal audit officer at AMK microfinance Institution. He has also had experience as Credit Officer. With more than 10 years of his working experiences in finance and auditing, he has brought a wealth of experience in evaluating on efficiency and productivity of operations in accordance with the principles, laws, regulations and standards of practice of skills set by the authorities to achieve the goals as well as the vision and mission of the company.
Mr. PEOU Monor graduated Master Degree in Financial Management in 2013 from Norton University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2009 from Phnom Penh International University. In addition, he has participated in various training courses such as tax audit, efficiency in risk management, analysis and management of internal audit and fraud analytics.
Mr. SO Bunneth
Deputy Head of Operation Department
Mr. SO Bunneth joined Mega Leasing Plc. as Branch Manager, Regional Operation Manager and was promoted to Deputy Director of Operations in 2021. Prior to join Mega Leasing Plc., He has worked as a teacher for 9 years and also has experience in the microfinance sector with many positions such as Credit Officer, Chief Credit Officer, Branch Manager, Regional Operation Manager at recognized institutions and Vision Fund Cambodia that currently known as WB Finance. Mr. SO Bunneth graduated Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Angkor City Institute and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Angkor City Institute. In addition, he has participated in workshops and has undergone many local training courses in Cambodia.
Mr. SUN Veasna
Risk Management and Compliance Unit Manager
Mr. SUN Veasna joined Mega Leasing Plc. In January 2019 as Risk Management and Compliance Manager. He completed his Master of Business Administration In 2016 and Bachelor of Business Administration in Banking and Finance in 2012 and currently he is pursuing ACCA, UK program at Cam-ED business school and Certified Expert In Risk Management at Frankfurt of Business school in Germany. In addition, he has attended many training courses related to the operations of banking and financial institutions and other training courses related to internal control, risk management and compliance.
Mr. Veasna started his career in banking and financial sector in 2011 with a series of roles as a Credit Officer, Senior Risk Management Officer, and Manager of Internal Audit and currently as Risk Management and Compliance Manager.
Mr. VANDETH Sopanha
Information Technology Unit Manager
Mr. VANDETH Sopanha joined Mega Leasing Plc. in the middle of 2015 as a Senior Information and Technology Officer, responsible for Networking, Application Development and Core Banking System. In 2017, Mr. Sopanha was promoted as Manager of Information Unit.
Prior to join Mega Leasing Plc., Mr. Sopanha had more than 5 years of experience in the field of information technology. He previously worked for Metfone Company as assistant computer support and was promoted to Billing System Officer. Mr. Sopanha then joined AMK Microfinance Institution, responsible for Application Development and Reports for Core Banking System. Mr. Sopanha graduated from Norton University in 2008 with a degree in Information Technology.
Mr. CHENG Samat
Business Development Unit Manager
Mr. CHENG Samat joined Mega Leasing Plc. in March 2018 as a Sales and Marketing Officer and in January 2019 he was promoted as a Senior Sales and Customer Relations Officer and on November 18, 2019 was promoted as the Acting Manager of Business Development and on December 31, 2019, he had been promoted as a Manager of Business Development until now.
Currently, Mr. CHENG Samat is mainly responsible for product development and marketing. He brought with over 11 years of experience in the humanitarian, logistics and small and medium enterprises. Prior to join Mega Leasing Plc. Mr. CHENG Samat had worked in both Cambodia and Laos and changed positions from Human Resources Officer, Accountant Officer, Senior Accountant, Logistics Officer and Manager of Administration.
Mr. CHENG Samat graduated Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Build Bright University in 2008. Prior to graduate his bachelor degree, he had got scholarship to study at Maharishi Vedic University in the field of Human Resources Management from 2004 to 2007. In addition, Mr. CHENG Samat has attended the workshop and went through many training courses, both local and international.
